IMO study on the effectiveness and implementation of the ISM Code
The development and introduction of MASS is happening. To ensure their safe and secure operation it is important that regulations are updated to keep pace with innovation.
These two very recent IMO papers regarding MASS which we have received recently deals with the latest developments for MASS:
- The Japan paper (including input from our member JRC) are the results of practical sea trials onboard several different vessels
- UK paper is result of the UK’s understanding of legality and manning both ashore and onboard MASS vessels.
